Zitat:I grew up and the older I was, I saw how women are the oppressed group in this “one true Church”(sie beschreibt damit die Mormonen), and that a lot of women fall in love with each other though they do not allow themselves these feelings.
Women in this “church” learn to hate themselves for being women.
I was sixteen when I fell in love for the first time. At this time, I lived in a small town close to ***. Her name was Bri , and her smile was so beautiful, I never saw anything like that before! She was also a member of the church, and one of my best friends at the “young ladies group” (eine Gruppe für Mädchen/Frauen von 12-18 Jahren).
If we had time after we had done our homework, we met in a little ice-cream shop close to the apartment where she lived with her parents and her nasty brother. We held hands under the table, whispered our love to one another, and wrote love letters to one another.
It was a young, growing love between two young girls who were on their way to find themselves and the way to their lives.
