Deine Erinnerung trügt dich. Er bemühte "Gott" häufig, und zwar in allen Variationen.

Hier ein aufschlussreicher Satz am Ende des zweiten Kapitels:

So glaube ich heute im Sinne des allmächtigen Schöpfers zu handeln: Indem ich mich des Juden erwehre, kämpfe ich für das Werk des Herrn.
